Royal Institution Announced as Official Home of Turncoat Cocktails – With Click & Collect Now Available
Liverpool, UK – 4th March 2026 – Liverpool’s historic Royal Institution Liverpool has officially been announced as the flagship home of Turncoat Distillery, marking a major step in the brand’s relaunch under new management.
The Royal Institution will now serve as the official on-trade home for Turncoat Cocktails — showcasing the full core gin collection, signature serves, and limited releases — all proudly distilled in Liverpool.
In addition to the in-venue cocktail experience, customers can now purchase Turncoat bottles directly from the Royal Institution, with a streamlined click-and-collect service via WeAreTurncoat.com.
Consumers can browse online, secure their bottles, and collect from the venue — combining digital convenience with local retail presence.

has entered an exciting new chapter under new ownership. The new custodians are proud to
preserve the legacy and heritage of this iconic Colquitt Street building, breathing new
life into a venue that has been part of the city’s cultural fabric for
generations.
Steeped in history and character, the Royal Institution now
combines Liverpool’s proud heritage with a modern social experience. The team has
carefully restored and reimagined the space while keeping the building’s memory alive —
from its design and atmosphere to a drinks menu that celebrates the city’s past and
present.
Guests can now enjoy an inspired cocktail menu linked to Liverpool’s
history, featuring locally crafted spirits and inventive flavours that tell the story of
the city. The Royal Institution has also proudly partnered with Turncoat Distillery, a
celebrated Liverpool independent distillery, whose premium gins and vodkas feature in
all signature cocktails across the bar.
Inside, the venue offers three
distinct spaces: The Main Bar — A beautifully designed social hub serving handcrafted
cocktails, wines, and premium spirits; The Whisky Lounge — A refined, relaxed setting
dedicated to rare whiskies and classic serves; The Sports Lounge — A stylish space
showcasing all the latest live sports in comfort.
The Royal Institution also
offers private room hire for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events, as well as
exclusive venue hire for film shoots, photography sessions, and creative productions.
